Mary and Mike- words cannot express the overwhelming sadness that I am feeling for you and your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers daily. I wish I could be there to give you a big hug Mary!

Even though I did not know Melissa very well, from reading the shared memories that others have posted, she was such a warm, caring & loving person. Please know that I am sending hugs your way, & praying that you will feel God’s love, strength & peace.

Melissa will always be embedded into my memories of home and the glory days of high school. She was a true friend. The kind who doesn’t judge or look at you differently. She was the best listener, always supportive and always cheering you on. She welcomed anyone and everyone. She was so very special. Melissa always made it a point to keep in touch over the years and though she was better at it than I was, her notes and check-ins made me feel very special, loved and blessed to have her as my dear friend. I will love her always and cherish all the years and moments I was blessed to have with her. 

Melissa was/is one of the kindest humans I’ve ever met. Although  we lost touch over the years, I cannot thank her enough for her friendship and sincerity. As a new student entering an unfamiliar high school mid-semester sophomore year, she was one of the very few who made an effort to reach out and was a genuine friend! I still smile looking back on our performance in Pope’s musical, “Sicilian Hearts”, together and wish I could find the pictures from that time to share with you. I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss!

Melissa was a special person to our family.  She was the cool adopted "auntie" to my kids with a sweet, kind and original soul we loved.  Our family has lived all over the world and at almost every port, Melissa had either visited us or planned to visit.  I always admired her bravery and fearlessness to travel the world on her own.  When our family would make it to home to Atlanta, Melissa always made time to see us and take Jacob and Lilah out for another adventure.  The time she took to be with us was alway appreciated and meant so much to our family.  She is missed and we are heartbroken!

May the memory of this wonderful, creative, caring soul give us all comfort...especially to her amazing, loving and supportive family. Our sincere condolences,
