Mary Eloise Smith

Mary Eloise Smith, age 95, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. She was born in Decatur, Indiana to the late Rolla Jackson and Oda Gay Jackson on Tuesday, July 26, 1927. In 1945, she graduated from Decatur High School. She worked as a medical administrator until she retired from Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida. In 1995, they moved from Sarasota, Florida to Marietta, Georgia and for the past five years she was a resident of Sunrise at East Cobb.

In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family and watching high school, college and professional baseball and bowling.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Glenwood Smith; brothers, Marion Jackson, Richard Jackson, Ralph Jackson; sisters, Clarice Lawson and Elva Liechty.

She is survived by her two sons, Steven L. Smith (wife Jane) and M. Timothy Smith (wife Peggy), both of Marietta, Georgia; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and many friends to cherish her memory.

A memorial Celebration of Life graveside service for Mary Eloise Jackson Smith will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076. Her grandson, Derek Smith will be officiating along with reflections from her son, Steve during the graveside service.
