Born on September 18th, 1951 to Jack and Peggy Haddock, Mary was a force to be reckoned with from the beginning. Mary graduated from Walter F. George High (Atlanta, Georgia) in 1969. Mary worked for The Beck Group as a Project Accountant for 10 years and then at Morgan Constructors LLC as a General Accountant until retirement. When Mary retired, she devoted most of her time to cheering for the Clemson Tigers football team, gardening around her home, and spending time with beloved friends and family. An avid gardener, she was known for her wise words such as “only a fool plants before Easter.” She was famous for her mac and cheese recipe, which she perfected, and chocolate pound cake, a specialty at birthdays and Christmas. Mary would always take time to answer the phone and give advice to her family and friends in times of need. She was a dependable, funny, and caring friend.
Mary lived a full and vibrant life with more friends than you could count. Known as “Mimi” to them, her nephews and nieces meant the world to her. She is survived by her brother, Lee Haddock; nieces Lisa Haddock Malas Bulford and Lori Statome; great nieces and nephews Kaan Onay, Hayden Statome, Zane Malas, Grace Statome, and Jad Malas; and “grand-niece” Kai Onay. We will miss her dearly.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday April 9, 2022 at 2PM in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
