Mary Dorothy Ford

Born on June 19, 1936, in Augusta, Georgia, Mary dedicated her life to caring for others. She spent 40 years as a registered nurse, where her kindness and dedication touched countless lives. Her commitment to service extended beyond her profession, as she was also a proud and life-long member of the Baha'i Faith, embracing its principles of unity and love.

Mary is survived by her three children: Kenneth E. Bowers, Alan Ford Bowers, and Lisa Daniel Petty. She was a beloved grandmother to Mallory, Kirsten, Mojdeh, McKenzie, Ford, Rieves, and Ben, and cherished by her five great-grandchildren. Mary also leaves behind her younger sister, Nancy Rieves Searcy, who shared her profound faith and a deep sisterly bond.

Mary's legacy is one of love, service, and faith. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Funeral service will take place at 1 :00 PM Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta.
