“I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course and I have kept the faith”
This verse epitomizes the life of Marjorie D. Robinson, known as Madge,
Aunt Madge, Marge and Cus.
She was born on August 20th, 1944 in Kingston, Jamaica to the late Norman and Iris Pine. Coming from such humble beginnings with two loving parents, it is no surprise that her life, as we remembered, revolved around creating and nurturing a loving family. Marge has been a loving mother, and a caring, kind
And cherished person by all those who have been fortunate to know her.
Marge received her early childhood education at Titchfield Secondary School in Port Antonio, Jamaica. As a young girl she migrated to New York to be with her loving parents Norman and Iris Pine in 1959.
She proved herself to be a hardworking individual doing whatever she could to better herself. On realizing the opportunities in the U.S., Marge attended Bronx Community College at Nights after Graduating from Taft High School in the Bronx. Her long career working with Several Multinational Corporations in the Legal Department and later in Human Resources led her to Texaco where she spent 28 years before retiring early and moving to Atlanta at age 55
Upon relocating to Georgia, Marge brought her mother Iris better known as Aunt Iris
Along with her where she cared for her until her passing in June 2003. After her mom Iris passed away in Marge decided to do volunteer work with the Alzheimer's Association: with the State of Georgia as an Ombudsman serving as an advocate for the elderly and making sure that the elderly care in Nursing Homes was up to State standards. Marge later joined the WellStar Hospital Team where she volunteered in the Employee Health Division of the Hospital and most recently with the AARP{American Association for Retired People}, where she received an Award for her outstanding service.
Marge will sadly be missed by her loving daughter, Dionne Fuller and her devoted husband Miles, her brother Fitzgerald Pine and his devoted wife Edna, and sister in-law Veronica Pine and family: Paul Anderson who she referred to as the son she always wanted and his family, dear cousins Jimmy, Violet Herma, their families, and all her special friends who she would always refer to as her extended family.
Marge is gone but never will be forgotten.
May her soul rest in peace.
The family will hold Funeral Services and a Remembrance of Marge's Life, at 11:00 o'clock, Friday, January 28th, 2022, in the Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, Georgia, 30060. Following services, she will be laid to rest on the grounds of Georgia Memorial Park.
