Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta
During World War II, Jack served in the Army Air Corp and at the end of the war he continued to served in the Georgia Air National Guard. In 1950 he and his unit were called up into active duty where he served at Sewart Airforce Base near Nashville, TN where in 1955 he was discharged at the rank of Master Sergeant. It wasn’t too long until Jack was employed back in Marietta at Lockheed Aircraft Corp. He then went to work in the airline industry for Southern Airways and then eventually retiring from Northwest Airlines. Jack and Ann enjoyed traveling. They traveled to far away places like Alaska and not so far away places in their motor home.
Jack is survived by the love of his life and wife for over 65 years, Ann Southern Rose; son, Terry L. Rose and his wife Debbie; grandson, Michael Rose; granddaughter, Emily Rose Bounds and husband Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
