Kenneth Wayne Porter, 66, gained his heavenly wings Tuesday, September 26, 2023 in Marietta, GA. Ken was born in Valdosta, GA on January 24, 1957 to W.B and Doris Porter and moved to the Atlanta area in his early twenties. Ken's journey through life was filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with family and friends where he made gatherings memorable. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished friend to many. Ken had a passion for muscle cars and trucks. He reveled in the thrill of the open road, where the rumble of engines and the wind in his hair brought him pure exhilaration. But Ken's greatest love was his family. Survivors include his wife, Maria Eunice Porter; one daughter, Amber Hryzan and husband Nick; one son, Kenneth Andrew (Andy) and wife Kayla, stepsons Thiago Marques and Welton Roberto Marques and his wife Adriana; granddaughters Haleigh, Brailee, Aubrie, and Cora, step-grandchildren Eloar Cristina and Nicolas Marques; sisters Sharon Courson of Jesup, GA, Donna Nolan of Valdosta, GA, brothers Weyman Porter and Walter Porter both of Valdosta, Aaron Porter of Jesup, GA, several and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents W.B. and Doris Porter, brother Don Porter, and his grandson Alex Hryzan. His children remember him as their hero, always there to offer guidance, support, and a hearty laugh. Ken's pride and joy were his family, and his love for them knew no bounds. Ken had a remarkable ability to find humor in any situation. His infectious laughter and witty jokes could brighten even the darkest of days. His passing leaves a void in our hearts that can never be filled, but his memory will forever live on. As we say our farewells, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives, the love he shared, and the laughter he inspired. In celebrating his life, we honor the legacy of a man who lived passionately, loved deeply, and brought happiness to all who had the privilege of knowing him. A memorial service to celebrate Ken's life will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 2 pm with a visitation one hour prior. Ken, the '57 Chevy man, will forever remain in our hearts and he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will endure through generations.
