Kathryn East Powell went from this life into the presence of her Lord Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022. She was 89 years old. She was preceded in death, by her husband of 43 years, the Reverend Joseph C. Powell, who was the love of her life.
Kathryn radiated the love of Jesus to those around her and was in turn well-loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, David Powell and his wife Suzette, Steve Powell and his wife Cheryl, Ruth DeGraaf and her husband Dennis; grandson Daniel DeGraaf; step-grandchildren Jacob Davis and his wife Kristen, Caitlin Davis; step-great grandchildren Chloe and Sophia Davis.
The funeral service, will be held at 11:00 o’clock, Wednesday, July 13th, 2022, in the Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, Georgia, 30060. The family will receive friends 1 ½ hours prior to the service. Committal will be on the grounds of Georgia Memorial Park.
