John Fincher Perry Jr.

John Fincher Perry Jr. of Marietta, GA passed away on November 12th, 2024 at the age of 66 after a long battle with cancer. Son of the late John and Janet Perry, he is survived by his wife of nearly 35 years, Donna, his son Allen (Carson) his daughter Amanda (Nick), his granddaughter Miles, his brother JIm (Debra) Sister Ami (Rod), and many nieces and nephews.

John graduated as salutatorian of his graduating class at Southern Polytechnic State University (now Kennesaw State University) and spent his career as a mechanical engineer. He was an avid Star Wars fan, having collected much memorabilia throughout his life. He was also a car enthusiast and enjoyed history, with a particular interest in World War II, collecting and building Model airplanes, watching sports, hunting, and spending time with his loved ones. Also, a strong follower of Christ, he relied heavily on his faith throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, GA. Another visitation will be held on Saturday, 23, at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Amercan Cancer Society or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
