John Paul Jones

He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout where he obtained Eagle Scout from Troup 75 in 1996. John was a class of 1998 graduate of Pope High School and then he graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2001 and was attending The University of North Dakota. He was employed with ParkingSoft in Norcross as a computer programmer. He was preceded in death by his father, George L. Jones; paternal grandfather, A. C. Jones; paternal grandmother, Ines Jones Robichaud and her husband, Peter Robichaud; maternal grandparents, John and Rose Marie McClellan.

Survived by his mother, Kathryn L. Jones; sister, Laura Marie Jones; uncle, Jim McClellan; aunts and uncles, Toni and Gary Jones, Pat and Jim Points; cousins, Jennifer and Nick McClellan, Zach and Savannah Horban, Kelly and Scottie Points.

Funeral services will be held Saturday Feb. 2 at 2 PM in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Hall officiating. The family will receive friends between the hours of 6 until 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
