Jo Ann Hodapp Flesner passed away September 24, 2015. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26 at 1 PM in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with burial to follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Jo Ann was a budget analyst for the CDC. She was a special kind soul that cherished her family - not to mention her love of every dog & cat she encountered. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Jack & Minnie Newbern, Joseph & Clara Hodapp, and her father Luther Joseph Hodapp. She is survived by her only son Aaron Flesner (Rachel), two granddaughters Amelia Jo & Hadley Mae, as well as her beloved mother Myrtle Newbern Hodapp, two sisters Suzy & Mary, and nieces & nephews. She was a devoted mother that raised a remarkable son and her legacy lives on in him and his family. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to charities that are helping to find a cure for breast cancer.
