Jeff earned his Master’s degree in mathematics and enjoyed being a teacher. While teaching at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Middle School in upstate New York, he met the love of his life, Karen, and on August 19, 1967 they married. Jeff changed career paths soon after and worked in the computer sales industry for thirty years before retiring. While in retirement, his passion for teaching called him back. He taught math at Walton High School for the remainder of his working career.
Jeff lived an active lifestyle. He set up a home gym so he and his family could workout and he logged countless miles on his bicycle. He enjoyed going on road trips on his motorcycles. He loved shooting and collecting firearms and he passed that passion on to his sons.
Jeff had a keen sense of humor and always had something witty prepared and appropriate for the situation that always caused you to laugh or smile. He enjoyed seeing others laugh.
Above all else, Jeff loved his family. This was evident throughout his life. He looked forward to any occasion the family was able to get together. He attended every sporting event and school function he could for his sons as well as his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Karen; sons, David (Melissa), Scott (Melissa) and Andrew (Michelle); grandchildren, Jessica, Brendan, Robby, Reagan, Katie, and Christopher; sister, Jeanne Lanier.
