Mr. James Cook

Mr. James T. Cook, age 75 of Smyrna, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2010. Born in Marietta, Mr. Cook also lived in Chattanooga, TN. He worked for the Kroger Company for 35 years and was an avid Nascar fan. Mr. Cook was a loving family man who will be deeply missed.

Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents Rev. John C. and Siblelou Cook. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Mrs. LaVerne Cook, daughters Debbie McClure and husband Phil of Smyrna and Brenda Fowler and husband Richard of Kennesaw, son Mike Cook and wife Candy of Dallas, GA; sister Nancy Gravitt of Lookout Mountain, GA; grandchildren Phillip McClure, Jamie McClure, Casey Cook, Dylan Cook and Trace Fowler, 4 nieces and 5 nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 2 pm at the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
