Henry Arnold Johnson, age 60, of Marietta, GA passed away on March 21, 2019 at his home. He was born in April, 1958 to George and Becky Johnson. Henry moved around the country with his family as a child and attended the University of Maine during the family’s time up north. When cheering for a college team, he chose to cheer for the Penn State Nittany Lions rather than the Maine Bears. Henry just completed his 20th year of work with Atlanta Hardware Specialty Company, Inc., where he served as their Director of Strategic Accounts. Prior to this, Henry worked for 20+ years with Spirol, International; his long tenure with both companies shows his intense loyalty and dedication to his work.
In Henry’s spare time, he enjoyed eating Taco Bell, couch-surfing, watching Denzel Washington movies or sports, and playing golf, although he hasn’t played in several years. He will be greatly missed by his former foursome in CT: Stuart, Eddie, and Rich. Since his move to Marietta in 1998, Henry made a hole in one at Towne Lake Hills and he has the plaque to prove it!
Henry was dearly loved by his wife of 30 years, Kathy Ann Johnson, and their only son, Connor D’Huy Johnson and by his siblings: Carol Allen, Buddy Johnson, and John Johnson. Henry is mourned by his nephews Tyler Allen, Tyler D’Huy, Brad & Matt Johnson, Dustin Rowland; his nieces Alex D’Huy and Kasey McDearis; and his in-laws Phillip Allen, Jerry & Sandi D’Huy, Pat & Shelly Johnson, and Polly & Ed Levis. Cousins in Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas as well as coworkers and business contacts are all saddened by Henry’s death.
The family will receive guests between the hours of 10:00 am and 11:00 am on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at H. M. Patterson & Son—Canton Hill, in Marietta. The Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 with a brief reception following. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Henry’s name to the Tunnel to Towers charity.
