She was born April 10, 1930 in Alpharetta, GA to the late Ralph Wheeler and Ruby Rucker Wheeler.
She was married to Charles Burrell until his death January 10, 1979. She remarried to James (Jim) Alexander until his death in January 30, 2016.
She started a career with Souther Bell, grew with AT&T thru 38 years until retiring. She enjoyed volunteering with the Cancer Foundation and the Pioneer Club at Bell South. She loved working in the yard, growing all kinds of flower, and making flower arrangements and loved spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Alexander was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Commerce. She is survived by her son, Dale Burrell (Janet); daughter, Debra Herren; siblings, Earl Wheeler (Patricia), Eddie Wheeler, Annell Eison; grandchildren, Sean Brown, Nathan Brown, Ryan Burrell, Christen Burrell; step grandchildren, Cindy Pope, Rachel Harper (Wayne); great grandchildren, Zac Brown, Taylor Humphrey, Zoey Brown, Abigail Brown; step great grandchild, Sace Leverett; great great grandchildren, Jonah Humphrey, Scarlett Humphrey, Grayson Brown, cason Brown; step great great grandchildren, Zaylee Leverett, Zyon Leverett-Piazza.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 12 Noon in the chapel of Georgia memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Vestal officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 11 AM until 12 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
