Mr. Williams was a native and lifelong resident of Baxley and had worked at Bax Steel, Selco and the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a 50 plus year member of the Baxley Church of God of Prophecy.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dianne H. Williams; children, Tammy W. Hall and her husband, Greg, Edwin Williams, Jr and his wife, Connie; grandchildren, Stephen Hardwick and his fiancé, Riley, Brooke Smith, and her husband, Taylor, Kelsey Cater, and her husband, Mason, Ashleigh Hall, Logan McNeal, Lani McNeal and her fiancé, Braydon; great grandchildren, Macie Cater, John Wyatt Haston, Addyson Smith, Millie Kate Vaughn, Beau Smith, Karsyn Cater and Kason Cater; sister-in-law, Peggy Young; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at 11 AM at the Baxley Church of God of Prophecy, 213 Spruce Street, Baxley, GA, with Pastor Danny Walker, Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 9 AM until 11 AM Tuesday at the church.
