Edward Sims Rankin, of Marietta, Georgia transitioned from this world on August 30, 2021. He was born in 1948 in Gastonia, North Carolina. He went to Wake Forrest University. He married Deborah Rankin for 39 years; together, they enjoyed their beautiful yard, traveling and their cats.
Ed loved golf, reading, college football and cocktails with the Five @ Five. Ed had a dry sense of humor and a mind like a steel trap. He will forever be remembered for his knowledge of history and could recall on just about any topic.
