He was born in Warrenton, Ga. on December 15, 1929 and married in Toccoa on September 22, 1951 to Lucille Baker. Donald was an avid fisherman, hunter, gardener, and craftsman. He always said his greatest source of accomplishment and pride was his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Lucille Baker; parents, Algernon and Louise Baker; brother, Lindsey Baker; sisters Louise Ramsey, Estelle Crane, and Corinth Dover.
He is survived by his children, Patricia Clemons and her husband Donnie, Steve Baker and his wife Shirley, Wanda Darr and her husband Dave, Mary Lariscy and her husband Randy; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday August 26 at 10am in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery with Rev. Randy Lariscy officiating.
Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends between the hours of 5pm to 8pm on Thursday August 25th, 2022 at the funeral home.
