Before earning her Master’s degree in Music from Georgia State, she completed her undergrad at Wesleyan College. Debbie was very strong in her faith and dedicated her life’s work as the Director of Music Ministries at Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church for twenty-eight years before retiring.
In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping trips and traveling the many wonders of the world. Often, she would be tending to her garden, playing tennis, card games, snow skiing, and entertaining friends. Debbie treasured the time she spent with her family, making memories.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Tim Edward Pierce; son, Brandon (Dana) Edward Pierce; daughter, Brittany (Matt) Pierce Adams; grandchildren, Hunter Pierce, Evie Pierce, Lara Pierce, Elise Adams, and Amelia Adams, and extended family members and friends to cherish her memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debbie’s name to Dementia Society of America by visiting dementiasociety.org or Grace Resurrection Church at graceresurrection.org
