Deborah Jean Herring Cheney, age 68, of Marietta, GA, passed away on November 22nd, 2023. She was born in Marietta, GA on April 21st, 1955 to Charles and Bobbie Herring. She attended Wheeler High School and earned her GED. She loved her work as an event planner.
In her spare time, she enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, climbing to the top of Red Rocks Amphitheater, gazing at the Maroon Bells and swimming in the clear blue waters of Hawaii. She loved Whitney Houston and all things leopard print. She was an avid gardener and won “Yard of the Month” twice!
She is preceded in death by her brothers Charles Herring Jr., Larry Herring and Stanton Herring. She is survived by her daughter, Shea Cheney and grandchildren, Holly and Sawyer Peterson.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, December 10th at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
