Carolyn Hunter Joiner

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Elaine Wilder officiating. A private Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.

Carolyn was a member at First United Methodist Church of Marietta, Woodbine Garden Club, and Marietta County Club where she loved to play golf. Served as a bailiff for many years to the Honorable Supreme Court Justice Harris Hines in Cobb Superior Court. She was also a co-owner of Joiners’ Market.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol J. Hudgins and her husband, Jimmy of Marietta,

Janice J. Brackett and her husband, Bill of Dallas, GA; five grandchildren, Ginger Welsh (Brian), Zachery Hudgins (Michele), Elizabeth Sanders (Roy), Scott Brackett (Misty) and Richard Brackett; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Myra Nell James; sister In-law Hilda H. Hunter. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Simmons Joiner; brother Cliff R. Hunter Jr.; great-grandson Austin Brackett; parents Floy and Cliff Hunter Sr.

Family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
