Carl is survived by is beloved wife of 41 years, Pat; sister, Shirley Smith of Marietta, brother, Jerry Weaver of Atlanta and by nephews, Patrick Bowser of Canton and Daryl Bowser of Woodstock, GA.
Carl graduated from Georgia Tech in electrical engineering, and was employed by Lockheed Martin from 1966 until his retirement in 1999. Among his many projects, he was a leader in the C-5 Avionics Modernization Program.
He enjoyed his avocation of hunting and fishing which he shared with his wife and friends for more than fifty years.
During Carl's five year participation in a clinical trial at Sarah Cannon Research Institute in Nashville, TN; he was instrumental in the approval on an innovative drug in the treatment of renal cancer. He was an inspiration to those sharing his clinical program and to online friends sharing his journey.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 28, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the gravesite at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery, Sandy Springs. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to the Northside Hospital Cancer Institute or the Georgia Tech Foundation.
