After graduating from Willingham High School in Macon, Georgia, Bobby attended Auburn University and earned his Bachelor’s degree. He then attended Georgia Tech and proudly received his Master’s in Aerospace Engineering. After working for Lockheed-Martin for over thirty-seven years, Bobby retired.
Throughout his life, Bobby enjoyed designing and building furniture, piloting small planes, and sailing. Bobby also loved spending time with friends and playing bridge. Most of all, he loved making memories with his family, especially his grandchildren, Jack and Olivia.
Bobby is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Gayle; son, Randall; daughter, Karen (John) Mudrock; sister, Melba (Jerry) Marshall; brother, Larry Hinson; aunt, Virginia Collier; and his beloved grandchildren, Jack and Olivia Mudrock, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life to honor Mr. Bobby L. Hinson is pending at this time and will be held on a later date.
