Beverly Hays McPherson of Marietta died at home on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. She was born on March 31,1939 in St. Louis, MO to the late Lelin Hays and Evelyn Jones Hays. She attended Washington University receiving a Bachelor's degree and while at Washington University, Beverly met the love of her life, George, her husband of 53 years before his passing in March of 2014.
Beverly was the epitome of grace and kindness. She was a passionate reader, enjoyed decorating and making her home a warm and beautiful place, and loved animals with great care and compassion. Above all, she was a loving wife and mother, supporting her family in their every endeavor, success, and challenge. She is survived by her two children, Michael Scott McPherson and Tracey McPherson Klasson, and three wonderful grandchildren whom she loved and adored, Carter Lee McPherson, Caroline Beth McPherson, and Chelsea Flynn Klasson.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that you consider a donation in Beverly's name be made to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
A celebration of life for Beverly will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 2:00 PM at HM Patterson Canton Hill Funeral Home, 1157 Old Canton Road Ne, Marietta, GA 30068.
