Betty was born on November 5, 1928, to Bonnie and Ernest Brown in Winder, GA. She was the fourth of seven children. The family moved to Marietta when Betty was 11, where she attended middle school and graduated from Marietta High School. Afterwards she went to business school and worked for the Veteran’s Administration before marrying Wallace Lee Wyatt in 1947. After getting married, Betty first worked as an administrative assistant for the Red Cross and then for New York Life, retiring in 1994 after 30 years of service.
Living in Marietta all her life, Betty loved people and was active at Marietta First Baptist, then later at Eastside Baptist. After she married Mt. Paran minister Milt Parsons in 2001, she faithfully attended Eastside and Mt. Paran for many years.
Betty will best be remembered through her lasting friendships and the love she shared with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. They were all special to her. She always looked forward to the family Christmas gatherings, which were made possible because she and her siblings remained close throughout their lives, knitting their families together in a heritage of loving relationships that has continued to this day.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Wallace Lee Wyatt and Coy Milton Parsons, sister Myra Brown Wallace, brothers G.W., Horace, Ernest, Reid, and Bradley Brown, and daughter-in-law Leslie Wyatt.
She is survived by her sons Wallace Lee Wyatt Jr. of Gainesville, GA, John Mark (Eden) Wyatt of San Antonio, TX, and grandchildren Josh (Becky) Wyatt of Boston, MA, Nick (Kate) Wyatt of Skokie, IL, and Emily (Matt) Browning of Gainesville, GA, Lucas Wyatt of Denver, CO, Matthew Wyatt and Annika Wyatt of San Antonio, TX, and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation begins at 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2 PM presided over by her grandson, Pastor Josh Wyatt.
