Betty Jo Sanders Dupree, age 89 of Mableton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019. She was born in 1929 to the late Edward Lloyd and Lily Clyde Sanders. She retired from Sears, working in the accounting office. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Betty was dearly loved by Joe Dupree (deceased), her husband of 71 years; children, Brenda Dupree Pickelsimer and husband Tony; Cathy Dupree Bryant and husband Kenny, Debra Dupree (deceased); 2 grandchildren: Kelly Pickelsimer (deceased) and wife, Debbie, Tonya Pickelsimer Brannon and husband, Brian , 4 great grandchildren: Jessi Pickelsimer Newsom and husband Hunter, Dakota Pickelsimer, Grayson Brannon, and Lilly Brannon and 1 great-great grandchild, Willow Newsom.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 5 pm until 8 pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday February 2, 2019 at HM Patterson and Son Canton Hill Chapel, burial will follow the service and will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Dallas, GA.
