Anne L. Whittle, of Roswell, passed away July 19, 2019 after suffering from the effects of a stroke in 2018. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on June 28, 1930. Her parents were Doyle and Gertrude Leamon. She worked for the forestry service for several years in Atlanta, as well as worked with floral arrangements in multiple flower shops in cities that her and Don resided. Some of her many talents included painting, sewing clothes for herself, as well as family, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Gertrude Leamon; her brother, Harold Leamon; and her husband, Donald Whittle. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Michael Brown of Sharpsburg, GA; son, Dwayne Whittle of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren, Kristen Rayfield, April Nall, Sarah Luttrell, and Valerie Whittle; and four great-grandchildren, Dillan and Collin Rayfield, and Aubrey and Morgan Nall. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at St.
Catherine's Episcopal Church, 681 Holt Rd., Marietta, GA. The Reverend Sarah Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 23 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M at H.M. Patterson & Son, Canton Hill Chapel, 770-977-9485.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anne's honor to the American Cancer Society, or the National Stroke Association.
