Albert Joseph Schulmeyer, age 82, of Marietta, formerly of Columbia, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. He was born in 1941 to the late Charles and Marion Schulmeyer of Indiana. He graduated from Hammon High School. Prior to becoming ill, he served as funeral attendant with Dunbar Funeral Home, Columbia, S.C.
He enjoyed working with wood, making cross trays and giving them to his friends and family along with making furniture.
In addition to his parents, Albert is preceded in death by his wife, Dawn Dunsworth Schulmeyer; brother, Chuck Schulmeyer; sister, Erma Schulmeyer Wisznewski.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracy Schulmeyer Bolton (husband, Matt Bolton), Pamela Schulmeyer Durkin (husband, Todd Durkin); grandchildren: Dany Bolton, Alex Bolton, Tucker Durkin, Emma Durkin, Hudson Durkin and his loving dogs, Winter and Cotton.
Graveside service at Georgia National Cemetery will take place on Monday, 10:00 am, September 23, 2024.
