Ruth E. Hundley, 88, of Marengo passed away September 11, 2022.
She was born January 9, 1934 in Linden, TN to Paul and Alma (Scaggs) Mannon. On October 24, 1952 she married her best friend Bobby Hundley in Arkansas before moving to Illinois. Together they actively raised four children in their home in Lake in the Hills. In 1979 they accomplished their dream of building their own home on Seeman Road in Union, lovingly called "Grand Central Station". Ruth was very active attending her children's and grandchildren's activities, she never missed a moment. Along with her love for family and friends, she spent a great deal of time traveling, including her most memorable trip with her husband to London. To know Ruth, was to love her.
Ruth is survived by her children, Bobby (Mary) Hundley, John Hundley, Bill Hundley, Susan (Terry) Ziller; her grandchildren, Melissa (Tim), Sean, Andy (Amy), Devynn (Dalton), Korrie (Dustin), Brian; her great-grandchildren, Bella, Jacob, Levi, Tanner, Lauren; and many family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby.
There will be a graveside service at Noon on Saturday, September 17 at Marengo City Cemetery.
