Richard Carl Hoffmann

He was born August 9, 1932 in Argyle, Wisconsin to Joseph and Helen (Bialecki) Hoffmann. On August 26, 1977 he married Charlotte Raether.

Richard was a longtime resident of Marengo before moving to Poplar Grove 23 years ago. He retired from Warner Electric after 32 years of service. He was a past President of the Marengo-Union Rotary Club. He enjoyed bowling and golfing. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; his children, Denise (Jim) Newbold, Mark (Coral) Hoffmann, Scott (Deborah) Hoffman, Rick (Terry) Hoffmann, Cathy (John) Volpe, and Gerald Lee; his 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Don (Jean) Hoffmann, Helen McCallum, and Shirley Robotka.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Vi Urbanski.

Visitation will be from 10am to Noon on Saturday, April 18 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. There will be a service at Noon.

Interment will be private.
