He was born September 8, 1955 in Elgin to Bruce and Dorothy (Williams) Muench. On September 22, 1984 he married Debra Peck.
Cody was a simple man, who had a smile that will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have met him. He enjoyed the outdoors, time around campfires, fishing and hunting. Cody was a Chicago sports fan, especially the Blackhawks, Cubs and Bears. He loved his "girl dog", Daisy, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on February 25 to join him.
With determination, Cody worked at Nissan for 20 years even through his struggles with Muscular Dystrophy.
Cody is survived by his wife, Debra; his father, Bruce (Mary Louise) Muench; his brother, Kevin (Cyndie) Muench; his sisters-in-law, Sharon Horner and Doris Schultz; brother-in-law, Don (Gloria) Peck; his dear friends, Geneva and Mike Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; his sisters, Nancy Weberpal and Heidi Urban.
There will be a gathering from 9:30am to 11:30am on Saturday, May 1 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 6821 Main St., Union. A memorial service will follow at 11:30am.
Inurnment will be in Union Cemetery.
