Norma Leone Guse, 86, of Crystal Lake died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Bickford Assisted Living in Crystal Lake. She was born November 4, 1925 in Garden Prairie to Walter and Audrey Fredrickson. She married Alfred Guse on February 10, 1945 in Garden Prairie. Together they farmed for 16 years in Cary then 42 years in Huntley. She enjoyed working word puzzles, journaling and was a member of the Union Lioness Club.
She is survived by her daughters Sandy (Gene) Konaszewski of Crystal Lake, IL and Sharon (Joe) Deutsch of Corona, CA and two nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Imogene Wascher and Ione Beal, and an infant son.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Wed, July 18 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy. Visitation will continue from 10 am until the 11 am service on Thurs, July 19 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Garden Prairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
