Mary H. Edmonds

She was born November 20, 1937 in Belton, Kentucky to Thomas and Katie (Jewel) Sherfield. On June 20, 1958 she married George Edmonds and shortly after moved to the Chicagoland area.

Mary was a hardworker but enjoyed playing Pinochle for fun. She also loved cooking. Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who cherished spending time with all of her family.

Mary is survived by her husband, George; her daughters, Debbie (Tom) Troxell and Pamela (Shelly Hentges) Edmonds; her grandchildren, Heather (Patrick) West, Brian (Monica Rutkowski) Fleck, Angie (Bob) Ames, Tara (Steve) Behm, and Kim (Chris Wallner) Troxell; her great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Alexis, Sam, Pat, Celia, Ricky, Logan, Caden, Harper, Avery, and Kenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Ray Sherfield, Gene Sherfield, and an infant brother Junior.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7pm on Thursday, May 12 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. The service will be at 6pm.

Interment will be private.
