Lorrie Lee Borders

Lorrie was born in 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, to Fran and Leaetta Schultz. She Graduated from Harper Collage, and when on to get a bachelor’s degree in political science at Northern University.

Lorrie’s children from her marriage (1987-2023) to Michael G Borders, Andrew, Jason, and Jacob, filled her life with Joy. Further enhanced with the introduction of Sabrina (Daughter-in-law) and two Grandchildren, Liliana, Jameson. With her family she enjoyed vacations trips, playing various games, and reading. She especially like playing Farm Town on Facebook, watching movies and shows with her Husband Michael, and being a full-time Mother.

Lorrie and her Husband Michael take great pride in being parents, as they could not have children of their own, they made the big decision to adopt. In 1991 after going thought the process allowing them to get their first born who they named Andrew Michael Borders. After two years (1993) with Andrew they were given the chance to raise another, who Lorrie and Michael named Jason Mathew Borders. In 1998 the house they were having built was finished and they moved in but something or someone was missing. Michael and Lorrie where foster parents for many years With many children’s joining our family before going back to their home, but in the year 2000 the third member of the family’s children was born, after a long processes, he would enter the family as Jacob Michel Borders and the small family was complete.

Lorrie is survived by her Husband, Michael G Borders children, Andrew M Borders, Jason M Borders, Jacob M Borders; her daughter-in-law, Sabrina Borders (Wife of Jason), her grandkids, Liliana M Borders, Jameson M Borders, her sisters, Susie Krause, and Gail Horky, numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and her friends.

A visitation for Lorrie will be held Friday, March 10, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:45 PM at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E Grant Hwy, Marengo, Illinois 60152. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 5:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson St, Marengo, Illinois 60152.
