Laura Marie Matz

She was born in Chicago on March 3, 1970. At a young age, the family moved to Ishpeming, Michigan. There she attended school and later graduated from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan, earning two degrees. Her journey took her back to the Chicago area for employment. She worked for U.S. Robotics, Motorola, and other businesses. Her jobs brought challenges which she excelled at solving. Her work ethic was exceptional!

Laura was a kind, generous, loving woman who loved her family deeply.

She is survived by her parents, John and Betty (Rock) Matz; her sister Erika Matz (Chris Schmit); her greatest joys in life niece and nephews, Logan, Carson, and Peyton. She also leaves behind cousins, aunts, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and her aunts, Patricia (Rock Hendrickson) Wisniewski and Rita Bura.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
