Judith Uyeda

Judy Uyeda, 75, passed away on January 22, 2021. She was born on January 16, 1946 to the late Matsue "Mary" and the late Susumu "Sam" Uyeda. She was the beloved sister of Rose Uyeda and Richard (the late Barbara) Uyeda and sister-in-law of Deloris Uyeda. Proceed in death by her siblings: Fred (Loreen) Uyeda, Anice (William) Hirabayashi, Evelyn Uyeda, Jesse Uyeda. She was the loving aunt of Ron and Larry Hirabayashi, Kathy Schmidt, Lisa Hansen and Kenji Uyeda. Judith was a dear great-aunt and great-great aunt to many.

Judy moved into Chicago to go to secretary school the fall of 1964. She got a job working for the American Dental Association with the University of Chicago before she worked at Schiff Hardin where she retired in May. Judy was proud of her career as a legal assistant and she worked in Chicago for many years. She loved cats and her friends. She took piano lessons all through school and even with her tiny hands the teacher was impressed that she could do the farthest reaches needed for any song she gave her, she also played the clarinet in school. She had a great sense of humor and contagious laugh. She loved her family and will be missed by all.
