He was born on April 16, 1984 in Osage Beach, Missouri, and grew up in Marengo. As part of Team Crazyhorse with the Illinois Army National Guard 106 Calvary, Jason served honorably in Afghanistan in 2008–09. He was a die-hard Chicago sports fan with a big heart and a legendary sense of humor. A loyal friend and a loving family member, he will be dearly missed by those close to him. His guiding light in life were his two daughters.
Jason is survived by his children Madison and Kayla, parents Jeffrey and Vickie, brother Joshua and Ashley (Schmidt), sister Andrea, grandparents Judd and Kay Peter of Oswego, Derald and Shirley Fitch of Lombard, and a big, loving extended family.
Visitation for Jason will be Saturday, August 5th at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, from 10am–1pm with a service at 2pm at First Presbyterian Church of Marengo. There will be a luncheon immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to establish an education fund for his children at www.youcaring.com/jasonpetermemorial.
