James "Jim" W. Pope

Waukesha, WI. – James "Jim" Pope, 59, passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2010 at his home in Waukesha, WI. He was born September 10, 1950 to William and Irene Pope. He was a graduate of University of Illinois 1972 and an active member of the Naval Reserves. He is survived by his mother Irene of Marengo, a sister Sue (Dave) Zierer of Marengo, daughter Amanda (Tina) Cross of Colorado, son Tim (Esme) Pope of California, grandson Tristian Pope of California, niece Becky (Joe) Schmidt of Belvidere, nephews Ryan Zierer and Randy Zierer of Marengo, great-nephew Connor Schmidt of Belvidere, and his ex-wife and best friend Georgia Hanif of California.

He was preceded in death by his father William in 1996, and his brother Gregory.

Jim will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He was a great son, brother, father, grandpa, uncle, and friend to all that knew him. May he rest in comfort and peace.

Memorial visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm on Sunday August 29th at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy Marengo. Interment will be private.
