Helen Irene Getzelman-Schultz

Helen Getzelman-Schultz passed away peacefully on March 17 with family by her side. Helen was born on November 2, 1932 to Thor and Sophia Thorson who precede her. Helen is also preceded by first husband Lloyd Getzelman, and second husband Erhardt ( Charlie ) Schultz, her 4 brothers Otto, Frank, Virgil, Morry, and 3 sisters Esther, Milldred, and Dorothy. Helen is survived by her daughters Cathy Koplin, and Carol (Kevin ) Harrington, 4 Grandchildren, Jessica Gough, Jennifer ( Tony ) Borchert, Kelsey ( Hartman) Harrington and Cody Koplin. 8 great- grandchildren, Shaylee, Logan, Tessa, Callahan, Casper, Mason, Luis, and Jude. She is further survived by special Sister in Laws Linda Thorson, and Teresa (Ron) Euker, special nieces Ruth Anderson and Fran Moye. Other survivors are Leroy Getzelman, Lyle and Betty Getzelman and several nieces and nephews. Helen was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt and friend. She leaves behind several close friends who she enjoyed sharing time with.

Per Helen’s wishes her service and burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation in honor of her grandson Cody at www.cff.org.
