Christine "Tina" McCartney

She was born August 28, 1955 in Chicago to Richard and Katherine (Ellinas) Paradowicz. Tina graduated from Barrington High School in 1971. On August 29, 2008 she married Philip McCartney.

Tina spent her career working at U.S. Can in Elgin as a steelworker and was later a CNA. She was a member of A.B.A.T.E. where she did motorcycle safety awareness in the Belvidere and Rockford area high schools during Driver's Education Classes. In her free time, she enjoyed motorcycles, horses and gardening.

Tina will be greatly missed by her husband, Philip McCartney; her daughter, Denise (Tom) Rodkey; her sisters, Peggy Paradowicz, Bonnie Weech, and Nancy Moreno; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Richard M. Paradowicz and George Paradowicz.

There will be a visitation from 4 to 8pm on Friday, August 2 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E Grant Hwy, Marengo. Visitation will continue from 9:30am to 10:30am on Saturday, August 3 at the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery.
