Chuck was born May 6, 1942 to Lawrence and Vera (Goetz) Andrews. He was reared on a farm north of Marengo, attended Hawthorn Elementary School, and graduated from Marengo Community High School in 1960. In 1961, he married his high school sweetheart, Judy Engle. They have three sons: Timothy (Susan) and their children Jack (Grace), Joe and Blake; Todd (Kathy) and their children Lindsey, Kelsey and Hallie; and Mark (Sheryl) and their children Isaiah (Keza), Aidan, Elijah (Haley), and Lydia.
In 1961, Chuck began working at Arnold Magnetic Technology and retired in 2007 as a Senior Development Design Engineer. After retiring, he began consulting there for another 10 years, training and assisting new engineers.
Chuck loved serving others. He held many offices at the Marengo United Methodist Church, including over 20 years on the Board of Trustees, leading a Saturday morning men’s breakfast, and leading a youth group for 8 years. He served as a Boy Scout Committee Chairman of Troop 163 for 10 years and at the M.O.R.E. Center. He was an avid builder: remodeling their home, constructing a shed and several wheelchair ramps. He made cabinets, bookcases, hutches, crafts for children, and his recent joy, Jesus plaques.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and brothers, Ronald (Sharon) Andrews and Robert (Judy) Andrews, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and John Puzzo, and brothers Edwin, Donald, and Larry Andrews.
