Beatrice L. Rucker

She was born April 18, 1934 in Niagara Falls, NY to Clarence and Myrtle (Hannold) McClelland. On July 25, 1953 she married James Rucker in Niagara Falls.

Bea was an active member of the Dundee United Methodist Church and the DUMC Women’s Group. She was also a member of the Marengo American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, Bobby (Jill) Rucker; her daughter, Charlotte Gaddis; her grandchildren, Cathryn (George) Kasten, Nicole (Matt) Misiura, Kimberly Rucker, David Rucker, Christopher (Emerald) Wright, Jeremy Rucker, and Sarah Gaddis; her great-grandchildren, Allison Misiura, Morgan Kasten, Brooke Misiura; her brother, Russell McClelland; her sisters, Alma “Virginia” Yost, Sarah Anderson, Thelma Conley, June Glass, Margaret “Peggy” Teuton, Janet McClelland, and Loretta Aro; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her parents; her daughter, Mary; her brothers, James and Daniel McClelland; her sisters, Carol Coleman, Gertrude McClelland, and Delsie Springer; and her great-grandson, Brett Kasten.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Monday, March 30 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. Visitation will continue from 10 to 11am on Tuesday, March 31 at the Dundee First United Methodist Church, 318 W. Main St., West Dundee, IL 60118. The service will be at 1pm.

Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.
