Funny as I sit here (10-9-23)  in a room at the JW this email comes in about updates on my friend Mark. Coincidence? Worked here forever with him at events and this is the first time I’ve actually stayed overnight on property for a multi day event. Thanks for checking in on me Mark, hope all is well in your paradise.

Dear Justine and Family,
We were so sorry to hear of Mark’s passing. 
He was such a genuine and sweet person. Always smiling, always happy. We were fortunate to have Mark and Justine as some of our very first friends upon moving to Marco. I have many great memories of those days.  He will truly be missed by all who knew him. Sending love to the entire family.

 Mark was a true Texas gentlemen and one of the nicest people I have ever known.  Mark will forever be the only Dallas Cowboy fan I ever loved being around,  always humble and gracious when the 'cowgirls' beat up on my REDSKINS ...  which was a lot!  I will miss him dearly as will everyone whose life he touched!  We will see him again...  Mark just made Heaven even better!   Justine, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers - Mark absolutely adored you and loved his life with you as his  'co-pilot'!  God bless you and your family  XOXO

Mark and Joe, both kindred spirits shared love of sailing. These best friends worked and played together.  Mark had such a warm heart, was thoughtful, compassionate and sensitive to other's needs. My oldest daughter was having a very difficult time - Mark took her under his wing, helping her work through it and later sent her flowers to let her know he was there.  That's the way he was with everyone...Made sure everyone was included and cared for. His love of life touched us all, blessing us with beautiful memories.

I am so sorry for your loss Justine.  Mark’s smile truly did light up a room, and I have memories of him going all the way back to high school and his beloved Z-car!  God bless you all-Max

Justine's niece Catherine Baiocco loved this dressed and it was one of the highlights of her life to be in their wedding. As Catherine's mom, I adore this photo of Cat and Mark.

Justine and the Townsend/Collette families - We are so sad to hear the news of Marks passing. As longtime Vernon Place on Marco Island neighbors we will remember the jovial personality and sincerely nice guy demeanor he exuded at all times. Our condolences to you and all the friends that he obviously made the same impressions upon over the years.  



I met Mark in my first year at Southeastern Oklahoma, we became lifelong friends! Best, funniest roommate I ever had! There was never a time in my life when I needed help with something that Mark wasn’t there! Every time! Loved him like a brother and I’m going to miss him! And he never forget to call or text me on my Birthday!

Always enjoyed seeing Mark had his dads great smile. One of fondest memories was when he worked at the Marroitt and was there for a New Years Eve wedding we attended.  A great guy, he will be missed.

My brother in law Mark was a kind, funny and wonderful man! He fit in with our crazy family immediately.  My biggest regret is that I didn't get to spend much time with him over the years.  But I know how happy he made my sister Justine and my children adored him.
