Born in Batesburg, SC she was the daughter of Frank & Mary Lewis and one of seven children. Frank was in the Army and the family eventually moved to Landstuhl, Germany where she met her husband of 60 years, Jerry Miller. Jerry & Sandy married and made a home in Alexandria, VA . Sandy was a secretary for the Department of Agriculture but soon stopped working to raise their three children, Kerri, Leslie and Mark. Sandy is survived by her husband Jerry Miller and by her three children Kerri Herrity, Leslie Davis (Rob), Mark Miller (Amy) and her three grandchildren, Haley Davis, Dalton Herrity and Riley Fischer (Aidan). She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. Sandy loved family, crafting and watching the manatees and dolphins from her back lanai at their Marco Island home.... but nothing beat a day of college football! She could be found on any given Saturday screaming and cheering for her three favorite college teams, Ohio State, Virginia Tech and Florida State!
There will be a simple service of remembrance and a celebration of life on Marco Island at a later date.
Please feel free to give to: Tunnel to Towers Foundation in her memory. It was her favorite charity.
