She was born in NYC (Manhattan). She was reared, raised and educated in NYC. She received her Bachelors of Business Administration from CCNY (College of the City of N.Y. – now part of SUNY). She received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Puerto Rico (Accredited in the US) and was certified as a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers (ACSW). This allowed her to be a psychotherapist for more than 20 years. She worked for not-for-profit agencies (Mental Health Centers).
Ms. Segarra has owned property in Marco Island since 1972 and retired to Marco Island in December 1995. Subsequently she bought a new home in 1998 and resided in it until her demise.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Estella S. Hoagland of Salt Lake City, Utah; first cousins Golo (Pedro) Laracuente of Mayagawez, P.R., Ramon Molinary of Madrid, Spain; Nephews Steven Liebroder and Lawrence Liebroder and Grand-nieces of Grand-nephews of Salt Lake City, Utah.
My sister was an exceptional person in that she was always a giver never a taker she will be sorely missed.
