Lynn B. Kimmel, 75, passed away July 28, 2021 in Marco Island, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Booth and Freda (Lambert) Lockhart and brothers, G. Marc Lockhart and Ronald Booth,
Lynn is survived by her husband, Charles E. Kimmel; daughter, Kristin (Damon) Smith; step-sons, Nathan (Theresa) Kimmel and Eric Kimmel; grandchildren, Steven Mount, Nolan and Kelsey Smith; sister-in-law Brenda Lockhart; nieces Ashley Booth, Lindsay Walters and Jessica (Keith) Hartigan and nephew Corey (Gabbi) Lockhart as well as 9 great nieces and nephews.
Lynn spent 39 years in the automobile business as co-owner of Lockhart Automotive Group. She was very involved in recruiting and supporting women in the auto business. Lynn served as Dealer Chair for the Women’s Dealer Advisory Council, Co-Chair of the Saturn Regional Marketing Council, President of the Kentucky, Indiana Cadillac Marketing Association, Board of Director for Motors Mechanical Reinsurance Corp and Board of Director for the Indiana State Chamber as well as many other leadership roles in the industry. Lynn was nominated for the Time Dealer of the Year award and received the Saturn Summit Award, the Women’s Retail Network Spirit of Leadership Award and was named a Cadillac Master Dealer for 33 years in a row. She was an avid supporter of Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Mary’s Child Center and Hemophilia of Indiana.
Lynn retired from Lockhart Automotive Group in 2014 and moved with her husband and beloved dog Molly to Marco Island, Florida where she enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
