It is with great sadness family, friends and co-workers learned of the unexpected passing of Chris Quinton on November 4, 2022. He was the beloved son of his mother, Mary Quinton and her husband Glenn Walton of Marco Island, Florida and his father, Tom Quinton and his wife Kitty of Farmington, Missouri. Chris lived in Missouri before moving to Florida early in life during his grade school years. He graduated from Lely High School in 1999. He earned an associate degree from Edison Community College after serving in the U.S. Army. Many people knew him from his years of owning BeachDogs hot dog cart. Chris was married to Kristina on February 11,2006, and they have two sons, Christopher Quinton, Jr. (“CJ”), age 11, and Maxel (“Max”), age 5.
Chris worked for the City of Marco Island for seven years in the Water and Sewer Department, as a Water Plant Operator. Before working for the City, Chris was an Iraq War veteran who served in the Army following September 11th. The City of Marco Island appreciated his service to the residents of the island and also to the United States of America.
Chris will be forever remembered, loved by his family and friends and dearly missed. Everyone who knew him will recall his great sense of humor and his infectious laugh. Chris loved his friends and family with his whole heart.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Chris will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at CJ’s on the Bay at the Esplanade, 740 North Collier Boulevard, Marco Island, Florida from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Bring your precious stories and memories to share.
A Military burial is planned for a later date.
