Brandon entered this world on August 16, 1994. Our second child of our seven children, his birth was by far the easiest of all even at his birth weight of 10lbs 3oz. As an infant and toddler , his disposition
stayed exactly the same, he was just easy. He was so very loving, hardly cried, smiled constantly, and was a joyous gift to our family. He was a bald, chubby, bright, blue-eyed baby that brought love and happiness to everyone.
Throughout his childhood years Brandon remained that same kind of loving boy. He was fiercely loyal to his brothers, sisters, and friends. Brandon would move heaven and earth to help someone he loved, and would volunteer his time to help those in need, whether he knew them or not. Brandon grew to become a handsome 6'5" man, and his core remained steadfast. He did what was right. He stood up for what he believed in, even if he was the only one standing for it. He was able to face adversity and rejection, and persevere through it. The only thing that changed about Brandon over the years were his eyes. They turned from a bright blue to a lovely shade of green. Brandon's eyes were so beautiful, and were truly the window to his beautiful soul. He also had an incredibly deep voice. I will forever hear him saying, "I love you Mama!"
Brandon loved to give gifts and at times sold off his own special possessions, just to be able to buy a present for someone. He absolutely loved watching your face light up with the unexpected surprise. He never cared about receiving anything in return. His inner happiness was fueled by creating happiness for others. Words cannot express the depths of the pain we all feel losing Brandon. He took such good care of his younger brothers and sisters and watched out for his oldest brother. Brandon was extremely proud of his family and their individual abilities and accomplishments. We were once affectionately referred to as a wolf pack and in many ways it is true. Brandon was our protector and watched over all of us. One goal Brandon had in life was to become a Marine. He had difficulties getting into the Marines, due to no fault of his own, but fought for almost three years to get in. Brandon was finally accepted and we were so proud of his strength and perseverance. A short time into boot camp, Brandon received a series of shots to which he had a severe allergic reaction. He went into anaphylactic shock, was treated, and then medically discharged from the Marines. Brandon's heart was broken by this but his spirit was not. He came home and started the necessary steps to obtain medical waivers to re-enlist in the Marines. Brandon was very close to having everything in order so he could fulfill his dream of serving his country as a United States Marine. After years of determination to become a military man, Brandon was tragically taken from us on Veteran's Day... at 23 years young.
Brandon was a truly pure, humble, loving and strong man. Of all the gifts that he wrapped beautifully and gave to us all, his love was the greatest gift of all. His existence was the true gift. Brandon is survived by his 6 brothers and sisters and sister in law; Barry Jr and Leighann, Brett, Andria, Alonna, Ben and Analisa, his father, Barry and mother, Angella. Brandon is also survived by his half sisters, Karol Buchholz and Kelly Hansen. Brandon was preceded in death by his half sister Kathryn Anderson and half brother Nathaniel Wagner
