Barbara was born in Wichita Kansas on October 29th 1954 to Lester and Clara Rose and was the 2nd youngest child of 7 children. Barbara was the quiet shy one but when you got to really know her she was full of life, laughter and so much fun. She was the fourth daughter of a five girls. She had the most beautiful clothes that her mother made for her and she wore them with such pride. She loved the fact that she could design her clothes and her mother would make them all original for her.
Barbara was a beautician and was in the top of her cosmetology class in Los Angeles. The remainder of her working years was spent in the nursing field. Her hobbies included oil painting and music, where she played the guitar. Barbara's life took her to many areas of the United States but if you asked her where she was from, she would tell you she was a California girl.
Barbara loved her years on Marco Island! She spent her days socializing and soaking up the sun as well as shelling on the beach with her family and friends. Barbara loved to dance and enjoyed the rhythm and laughter that this world gave her. Her infectious spirit was felt by everyone that met her. One of a kind, a true gem. Just looking in her beautiful green eyes you could feel her genuine spirit. She loved God with all her heart.
Barbara is survived by her son Richard Rowell & daughter in law Serri Rowell, her daughter Alicia Rowell, her grandchildren Landon Hale, Dane Rowell, Tyler, Cole, Ryan and Ashton. Other survivors include:
Siblings Sue and Rudy Hardy of Mountain View Arkansas, Nathan and Judy Rose of Hemet California,
Nancy Rose of Hemet California, Pamela Cron of Marco Island, and other family and friends.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Lester Rose and Clara Rose. Her brother Paul and sister Betty.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at Hodges- Josberger funeral Home on December 18th, 2020 at 5:00 PM. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4pm -5pm.
