

Wayne J. Panzner, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 14, 2016. He leaves his beloved wife of 37 years, Leila (Bowers) Panzner; daughter, Sara Berkowitz and husband Scott; daughter, Heidi Soffron and husband Zee; and daughter, Melissa McCarthy; his grandchildren, Jack, Otto, Daniel, and Dylan. Wayne also leaves his loving Mother-in-Law, Claire Bowers Cyphers; siblings, Pamela Jordan and husband Kenneth, Lee Panzner and wife Susan, Leslie Dressel and husband Alan, John Bowers and wife Cathy, Jeffrey Bowers and wife Diane; and many nieces and nephews including, Elise Panzner, Eric Panzner, Shawn Jordan, Ryan Jordan, Katherine Cooney, Michael Cooney, John Cooney, Lisa Bowers, Kristen Girone, and Carolyn Bowers.
Born in Salem, MA, son of the late Emal Charles and Jeanette (Dube) Panzner, he lived a fulfilled life as a true New Englander, enjoying the changes as each new season arrived. Wayne enjoyed his work as Quality Manager at Commodity Components, Inc., in Peabody, MA. He loved traveling, hiking, biking, boating, and especially enjoyed the warm sun and cool water at the beach.
Wayne was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, friend, and all around person. Wayne would want us all to celebrate his life and remember that he will always be “the best ever”. We love you Wayne.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead on Monday, March 21 at 11AM. All are welcome. Visiting hours will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Sunday, March 20 from 3-7PM. Wayne had a true love and respect for all animals. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Wolf Hollow, Ipswich, MA, in honor of Wayne, a special place where he found peace.
